What shines and what doesn't

Great staff. Lovely pool area with music and a nice bar serving amazing cocktails.

Noise from the nightclub nearby can disrupt sleep, and some rooms lack proper soundproofing.

The hotel was very well located, very close to restaurants and the beach. The staff were very helpful. The room was lovely too. We had a wonderful time there.

The night club opposite was noisy but luckily there is double glazing so it is not a problem if you shut the windows and turn on the air con.

I stayed in Hotel Topazio from the 8th- 15th July. The hotel is well located to both the beach and the strip. If you come out of the hotel and turn left, and walk to the end of that road (3-4 minute walk) there is a cafe called Hot Spot which is very good and reasonable, The road on the other side of this takes you to the old town, however if you continue going the same direction you walked from the Hotel, on your left you have the strip and on your right down a hill you have the beach. The hotel pool is a reasonable size, and we always got a sun bed regardless of what time we went down at. At the pool bar, anything you buy is added to a tab in which you pay at the end of your stay. Breakfast is served next door at the sister hotel, which is again put on your tab. The rooms were cleaned every day along with fresh towels. We stayed in a "room only" as this was the only room left, we were a bit weary of the size of this and also having no kitchenette. However the room was spacious, the mini fridge was big enough to hold suncreams, fruit and biscuits etc. We also walked to the old town via the beach, if you come out of Hotel Topazio and turn right, continue walking down to you approach a hotel. There is a path around this which is open to everyone, this takes you on to the beach and takes about 20-25 mins from hotel to old town. There is a Night club across fro the hotel called Kiss however we never heard any noise from this throughout our stay. If i was to return to Albufeira i would definately stay at Hotel Topazio, great value for money, good location, friendly staff...all you need for a sunny holiday :)

The only thing worth mentioning would be that they dont do food and the pool bar , only drinks and crisps etc but didnt really bother us.

ideal for city walks and beach access

I loved the short stroll to the beautiful praia da oura, just 500 meters away, and enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the nearby strip, only a few steps from my door. It felt so convenient to explore both the vibrant nightlife and the fine beaches without any hassle.

Very clean rooms- beds& bedding excellent.

Good value

Stayed in room 311, our only gripe was the water pressure to the shower was poor, and took a few minutes to get to temperature.

The location was perfect for exploring the vibrant nightlife and fine beaches. Plus, the staff were cute and friendly throughout our visit with our pet.

In my wife's opinion, the bar should stay open later.

- Location excellent for beach and strip in new town Albufeira. - Staff friendly, helpful and didn't hassle you. - Apartments spacious, modern and clean.

- Lack of restaurant/pool side snack bar. - Did not accept cash at pool bar woud only charge to room.

Modern, nicely decorated, rooms. Excellent airconditioning. Staff seemed pre-occupied with friends popping into to see them at work. No reception after midnight, only security. No bar after 7pm. Pool area nice an clean. Short walk to strip and beach.

It was just a commendable fit for strolling in Albufeira with extraordinarily good value for money. The breakfast had a great selection of pastries and fresh fruit which was a pleasant surprise. Try to visit the old town for a more relaxed atmosphere.

Enchanting hotel, great restaurant and fantastic staff. Brilliant location, just close to kissclub. Only 20 minutes walking to downtown. Clean and brilliant rooms with balcony! A wide range of the best and very very good breakfast options.

Where do I start... *Sleeping on a bed of nails would have been more comfortable than the mattresses they provide - could not sleep properly at all for a week *Noise - read reviews here before choosing hotel so opted for a room away from nightclub when checking in - very noisy nonetheless *Staff were helpful in the main bar one who was in charge of the cleaning - room wasnt cleaned in 3 days - not a very clean hotel in the foyer either *Breakfast was disappointing especially having paid 8€ pp.. Overall it was a very disappointing experience and the negative outweighed the positive..

We had a cozy stay and enjoyed the lovely breakfast options each morning, though the coffee machine could have been better. The upgraded room was a pleasant surprise! I'd definitely come back again!

Fully recommended. 1.Great staff 2.room really clean with balcony (in my opinion should be 4*) 3.Great location 5 min walk to the beach and strip, 15min walk to the old town 4.nice pool (from 1.30m to 2.30 deep) 5.Very good value for money 6. If anyone is afraid of noise coming from the club across the street at night time, can ask when check-in for room on the other side, they are happy to do. 7.Had a great time there

Its very well located, only five minute walk from the beaches, restaurants and clubs. Very well decorated. Cannot understand why it is only three stars...beautiful hotel.
